Only 3 hours to fish, decided to head down to Punggol auntie pond to try. First time here, when we reached not many rods there. Mai tu liao.. we hurry bought 200g prawns and settled down opposite the fish cages.
Soon after we set up auntie release fish liao, so we cast to the fish cage area.
Used smaller sized 4 hook with full live prawn. After a minute passed one uncle beside got a hit, a kim chio small size one. Then another young man beside hit also, kim chio again!
好汉不吃眼前亏, gin gin changed to small hooks and prawn meat. Not a bad day, kim chios frenzy just infront of us.
After 1.5 hrs, caught 4 kim chios and 明哥 caught 6 kim chios then the kim chios stop to bite. So 明哥 changed back to hunt for bigger game. Cast just infront of the cage and then... hit! Nice MJ put a good fight can see a great smile on him. After the MJ action the whole pond no action till the end.Overall not a bad day, had fun with the chio fish.
Some insights to the pond:
- small bites in the middle of the pond maybe due to big milkfish and not kim chio. (Caught one 15 cm long)
- heard that auntie release fish after every 5th rod open.
